I’m going to repeat myself but the Tour de France is the only tour where all great riders take part in. And its the only tour where all riders try to give their best performance!

Nibali and Scarponi had no chance at all. To win last years TdF he had to give everything and was very lucky.
Maybe the tour the France isn’t much harder then the giro, but the opponents are!
Therefor winning the tour means everything!
@sandrodream1 Are you serious??? If you want to be the best rider you have to win the tour de france not the giro or vuelta. I don’t really like him but he won the tour 7 times so he’s is a legend. Pantani is as well but saying he ist better because he won the giro ist stupid!!!
watch that technique: at 6:04 and onwards, as he is filmed from behind, you can see the stability of his pelvis. his legs are moving, his body remains very still.
Lance armstrong to come back in 2010 at the age of 38 almost 39 and get 3rd or was it 4th place with his team placed first I think was absolutely massive and proved that he took no drugs. He destroyed all the young guys after all these years and am sure he was tested very well again. He is the most tested athlete in the tour de france for sure. Total legend.
