Thor Hushovd has been champion of the world road race between Paris and Norway two times.
There should be little wonder then that he has been taken up by an American BMC team to be in their group. He has recently completed the signing of a two year contract as has been announced on the official website of the American BMC team.
Thor has several accolades to his credit besides the road race successes. For instance, he has won the green jersey of Tour de France twice, once in 2005 and another time in 2009. Being 33 years of age now, this definitely showcases the pinnacle of achievements in his professional cycling career. He won in two stages when he was riding on behalf of Garmin-Cervelo and he got to wear the yellow jersey of the leader for seven total days. Hushovd spent most of his career riding on behalf of the Credit Agricole team.
