JAY McCARTHY WINS 2018 CADEL EVANS RACE

The 2018 edition of the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race ended with Jay McCarthy of Bora-Hansgrohe winning. The cyclist won the thrilling finale, making it the biggest win of his career. The Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race now has four different winners in the four different editions. McCarthy is the first Australian to win the race as late dives by Tour Down Under winner Daryl Impey and EliaViviani were too late.

The 25-year old winner is very elated to have made a comeback following the little disappointment at Tour Down Under. He was expected to reach the podium at the very least at Tour Down Under but he fell short. He seems to have redeemed himself with the Geelong victory.
